Prayer Requests - 10.28.07

Readers: Pray for our neighbors, who are reconciling from divorce. They have expressed interest in coming back to church! Pray that we can get them to come and they will feel welcome.

Streckers: Please pray for steady business, and for families salvation.

Rushings: Please pray for our business growth, and that our daycare needs will be met.

Gayduseks: Warren's mother needs to have a total knee replacement. We are praying about the timing and logistics of the surgery.

Murphys: My mom is having problems at her store. Also, remember Jonathan, he has been sick.

Robertsons: Our car died last week, and we need to sell our house so we can get a new car.

Rings: Praise! They are expecting. Continue to pray for Todd's grandma, and the healing in her brain.

Wolffs: Their best friends mom passed away today (Sun). Also, there was a major 5th grade incident at school, please pray for the kids involved. And lastly, please pray for those affected by the wildfires in CA. As far as they know all their friends and co-workers are safe and home. They are still waiting to hear from a few.

Caplenas: Evan had his 2 mth checkup and his doctor found fluid behind his ears. Please pray that he doesn't have an ear infection, and doesn't take after his sister who had chronic ear infections and tubes twice.

Tidwells: A friend that lives in Mulberry is very sick with cancer, and is not expected to live through the week. Her husband was Laura's coach in high school and they are very close to this family. Pray for her and her husband during this time of sorrow.

Bennetts: Lindsey had a spinal tap on Thursday and there were some cancer cells. The doctors have not said she is out of remission. They are going to check again next month to see if there are more cells. Pray that the doctors will not find anymore cells, and that the Lord will continue to heal her.

Tylers: Brian's grandma is done with chemo, and now they are running tests to find out if it is all gone. Please continue to pray for her. Also, keep them in your prayers as they go through these next 2 weeks and that Catelyn will get used to having a baby sister.

Fall Fest Sign-Ups

Here is a list of the games that we are having for FallFest on Oct 31st from 6-8 PM. We are still looking for people to sign up for time slots, so if you have not signed up and are willing and able, please do so. For the inflatables, we need about 4 people per time slot if at all possible. Please remember your times, and let me know if you have any questions.

Prayer Requests - 10.21.07

Tylers: Continue to pray for Brian's grandmother.

Rings: Todd's grandma can't have surgery for another 6 weeks because her brain bleeds have not healed.

Middletons: Continue to pray for them and their rental property.

Wingards: Continue to pray for Kelly's brother-in-law, Kris, while he is in Iraq.

Jones: Pray for them as they travel this week to Mississippi.

Carpenters: Dax is having another cat scan. They think he might have 3 more degenerative disc.

Langfords: Please pray for Edan, they took him to the doctor on Friday and he has pnemonia. They put him on antibiotics since they could not get a chest x-ray at 5:00 on a Friday. We will go back Monday to see if the medicine has begun to work and is clearing out his lungs.

Tyler Baby Shower

Prayer Requests - 10.14.07

Wingards: Please remember Kelly's brother-in-law, Kris, as he is in Iraq.

Tylers: Please continue to pray for Brian's grandmother who is going through chemo, as well as, them as they have a few more weeks until Bryleigh gets here.

Readers: Continue to pray for their families salvation. Also, please pray for the churches growth and direction of the new worship center.

Flynts: Misty's best friends husband, Kyle, fell yesterday while playing flag football and tore his achkilles tendon. He is going to have surgery sometime this week or beginning of next. He will be in a wheel chair for 8-12 wks. Please pray for them as they are trying to get everything ready for their baby and he will not be too much help.

Tidwells: Praise! They are expecting!

November Social - Pump It Up

We have rented out Pump It Up in Bentonville for our class to hold a social at. Here is all the information:

Lindsey Update - 10.10.07

This is one of Desiree Bennetts students:
I have some wonderful news to share....

Lindsey is FINISHED with chemotherapy! Our LR specialty nurse, Ruth, called today after reviewing Lindsey's blood work to notify us that the final two weeks of Lindsey's chemo have been canceled! Her blood counts look great....but, her liver functions are still elevated...they are down from last week, but still out of range. So, our doctor said that the risks associated with giving Lindsey the final two weeks of chemo far out weigh the benefits....and we totally agree. Ruth called when I happened to be in the truck with Todd....and I was just thankful Todd was driving because I just lost it! I couldn't help it...I just started crying! Crying because I was so happy for Lindsey, so relieved that her liver would not have to endure another round of chemotherapy and so amazed that Lindsey's second treatment plan for Leukemia is behind her...just very, very thankful!

So, this evening...we had a wonderful little "chemo" dumping party! The boys each threw a handful of chemo pills down the sink and then Lindsey dumped the rest of that bottle and then two other bottles down....smiling all the way! It was a good, good thing! As soon as that was over....Lindsey said..."Sooooooo, can I go to school tomorrow?" :-) Oh...this girl!! We had to explain that she would eventually go back to school, but that it might take a few months for us to see her immune system build back up. Of course, she didn't like that answer and there were a few tears, but she understands and will wait it out!

Lindsey will have a spinal tap and a bone marrow aspiration for her final end of therapy evaluation at Children's on October 25th at 9am. She will be fully sedated and won't know a thing...I am going to ask for full sedation for Todd and I, too, but I'm not sure they will go for it! JUST KIDDING! :-)

It takes a few hours, (which can feel like days), to get the test results back from the spinal fluid and bone marrow, so that makes for a long day sometimes. Thankfully, we have been blessed with many perfect reports on procedure days...but, as you know...we also have the painful memory of two very bad reports on procedure days (Lindsey original diagnosis and her relapse diagnosis)....so, that makes for a bit of a stressful day. So, please be in prayer for Lindsey's comfort on this day and PERFECT results from all the tests, for complete healing, for safe travels and low heart rates for Todd and me! :-)

We are planning on moving out of our apartment during that same visit to LR...the apartment has been a true blessing that has allowed our family to actually be a "family" during the last couple of years. Many of you helped with our apartment in one way or another, and we so appreciate all of your help.
