Fireproof Movie

We received this email from Linda Bush, and thought I would leave the option open for those who might want to see this movie.

When we first found out that the $5 tickets were for Siloam Springs and only for the opening weekend, we changed plans. We announced to our class that we would go to the Rogers theater followed by dinner at Colton’s.
If your class has not put anything together, come join us. We are going to the 4:15 matinee on Saturday and then Colton’s after the movie.

Murphy Luncheon - Oct 5th

Fireproof Movie

Several of you had expressed interest in going to this movie as a class. We had thought that Oct 4th would work best, because of so many people being gone the weekend of the opening. However, the $5 tickets are only good at Siloam for that weekend. We can still go as a class on the 4th, but we would probably be paying full price. We can discuss more in class on Sunday, but I wanted to let you know that we were at least thinking about going.

Prayer Requests - 9.14.08

Jared and Athena Simpson - Pray for their nephew, Tristian, who is having medical problems.

Hands - Pray for Emily as she goes back to work this week. Pray for strength to make it through the day and peace in dealing with people.

Swarengins - Joe will be traveling this week.

Rings - Continue to pray for them and their business. They have some difficult financial decisions to make. Also, pray for Jennifer as she is in school and Todd as he has the girls twice a week.

Murphys - Jennifer and the baby. Pray for God's hand of protection.

Tidwells - Sister's marriage in need of major prayer (Holly and Shareef)

Middletons - Melissa and baby. Pray for Melissa to have strength and patience. Pray for baby's safety. Also, Kerry is going to OKC on Thurs. to redo his lasik surgery on his eyes that was done 6 yrs ago. Pray the outcome is better than what his eye sight is now.

Wingards - Emily goes back to school this week. Pray she will get back into her routine without much resistance.

Bennetts - Praise! They are expecting! Pray that they can get through the first trimester without any problems. Because of fertility problems, they are at a slightly higher risk for miscarriage.

Flynts - Pray for Chris as he travels this week.

Watch Party Cancelled!!!

We will not be having the watch party on Saturday, as the game has been postponed until Sept 27th because of the Hurricane. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Prayer Requests - 8.7.08

Middletons - Please keep Melissa and family in your thoughts and prayers as she was put on bedrest for 3 weeks starting yesterday. Pray that the contractions will not start up again, and that she will relax during the remaining weeks.

Murphys - Please continue to remember Jennifer, as she is not feeling well and has had some trouble with previous pregnancies. Pray for a safe, healthy pregnancy and delivery.

Flynts - Chris's grandmother passed away on Sunday morning. Please be with our family, as we go through this difficult time. The funeral is on Wednesday morning, so pray for safe travels for those who are coming in for it.

AR vs TX Watch Party

Another reminder that we will be having a watch party on September 13th in the upper room at the church starting at 1:30PM. We will have the playground open outside the building for the kids to play in during the afternoon. Please let me know if there is something that you would like to sign up for:

Prayer Requests - 8.31.08

Gayduseks - Warren's mother had knee surgery two weeks ago, and her niece (and caregiver) has decided that she can't stay with her anymore. There have been some conflict between the two families. Please keep this situation in your thoughts and prayers.

Flynts - Please continue to pray for Chris's grandma. She is now in hospice, but doesn't seem to be any better. Please pray for the Lord's will to be done, and allow us to know that it will happen on his timing. Also, we are traveling this weekend to TX to see Chris's sister and her husband, pray for safe travels.
